Daily Tar Heel Interview

Wednesday, September 2nd, 2009

Check out this interview by the Daily Tar Heel for Franklin Street Comes Alive! We were RAINED out and so played a song for the multimedia team on the roof of the  The West End Wine Bar -you can hear it pouring down in the video. However, we re-booked it and will be on the West End side of Franklin Street the evening of September 11th around 730ish. If you are out and about the town, stroll by!  We appear in the second half of the footage, following Fred Hagenberger -who rocks the accordion! Here is the link!

Franklin Street Comes Alive

Tuesday, August 18th, 2009

We will be playing on the street near the West End Wine Bar at 7pm on Friday August 21 as part of Franklin Street Comes Alive, an initiative by the CH Downtown Partnership and the Mayor’s Office to “nurture cultural assets”.  I guess that makes us a cultural asset.  Nice.

Also would like to thank Glen for having us Wednesday at Local 506 playing with the very talented folks of Tin Star.  Thanks!

On July 22nd, we recorded these two songs  at Mike Garrigan’s studio :

The Galaxie
Crime of prom-date passion pins poor Jimmy down in the deep.
Lonely Room
Nostalgia croons regret for lost family, fame, and fortune.

You can play these songs on the Reverb Nation widget at the top right of this blog. If you’d like to add the songs to your Facebook or blog, you will find a similar widget on our page. Thank you!
